This document is to accompany the PowerPoint version of B-C's Adults Eyes task (uploaded elsewhere on PsychExchange). The first page is a response sheet; the has the answers; and the third has the definitions (without the examples to ft it to one sheet). Literacy is not a local strength! Note – this just uses the first 18 images (i.e. ‘part 1’) in deference to the limited attention span of my AS Students. This is, as the saying goes, ‘just a bit of fun’ and

This is an off-line version of the Adults Eyes task as a PowerPoint. Note – these are just the first 18 images (i.e. ‘part 1’) in deference to the limited attention span of my AS Students. This is, as the saying goes, ‘just a bit of fun’ and NOT a diagnostic tool! There are twice as many in the original on-line version. In the study there were 25, and each had only 2 options: ‘target term’ and ‘foil’, so clearly Mr B-C refined the

When Charlie despairs at trying to use Qantas to fly across the UK Raymond gets distressed. The counting toothpicks stuff is more of a screen writer’s fantasy - this screen gives a more representative portrayal of the challenges connected with autism. That said it does not have to be like this: understanding the implications of autism can help

This is the breathtaking story of Daniel Tammet. A twenty-something with extraordinary mental abilities, Daniel is one of the world’s few savants. He can do calculations to 100 decimal places in his head, and learn a language in a week. This documentary follows Daniel as he travels to America to meet the scientists who are convinced he may hold the key to unlocking similar abilities in everyone. He also meets the world’s most famous savant, the man who inspired Dustin Hoffman’s character
