This is the powerpoint for the face recognition model. It needs to be used in conjunction with the case studies contained in the PDF file case studies. Please note that the case studies are for the students to practise with - they do not need to know all of them! I would use the ones from the book (e.g. Cardwell) for exam purposes.

I always start the face perception part of the topic with this model. If the students can understand how this works then they are half-way to understanding the face recognition model. There are case studies to go with the model. If students can identify what deficit each person has and how it relates to the model it aides understanding of how the model works.

Horizon reveals a surprising truth about how we all see the world. You may think a rose is red, the sky is blue and the grass is green, but it now seems that the colours you see may not always be the same as the colours I see. Your age, sex and even mood can affect how you experience colours. Scientists have unlocked the hidden power that colours can have over your life - how red can make you a winner, how blue makes time speed up, and more.
