Excel file which allows Higher Psychology students to generate practice questions (through hidden lists and macros, so to the learners it appears 'random'). I have set it up for the topics I teach, but if you click to unhide the hidden cells you can see how it works and adapt it to your own requirements.

To use simply add or delete slides as necessary and change the names.  Run as a normal PowerPoint slide show and right click the mouse to stop the name generator.   Great fun for plenary and / or starter activities. Especially useful for those early days when you can't remember everyone’s name.  I created this resource as I am currently undertaking a PGCE and I can't remember all of my classes names off by heart! NOTE: Most effective when used in conjunction with speakers

This time its all aboyut the reuslts and various other numebrs! This randomiser , scrolls thrghh lots of figures very quickly, you have to hit control s to make it stop and pupils have to say what the number represents. Good for building detailed knoweldge of the actual figures as results for key studies, which are important for Edexcel.

Powerp;oint I use to pick students at random. Works really well and students enjoy it. Simply put your own class photos in, and names then run show. Click the right button to stop and the left one to start again. Good for differentitation because you can put the better students in loads of times or the ones who would die if you asked them a question need not be there at all, as long as you run the show without showing them all the slides at once, no-one knows. Great for an inspection because

I use this to select students for Q&A spots or any other time that I need to select a student and want to give everyone an equal chance of being picked.  You can amend it by changing the names.  Run the PowerPoint and press 'S' to stop and start. If you have fewer students than me, delete some slides.  If, God forbid, you have more than me in a single class, copy and paste slides.

Generates revision questions for students at the click of a button! This requires Excel 2007 - you must also choose 'enable macros' when you first open the file. I am still working on this resource but at present it has NAB-style revision questions for students on the topics of Memory, Early Socialisation and Investigating Behaviour.

Good for revision, or as a starter/plenary activity.  Uses key concepts, research studies andtheories.  Pupils have to explain whatever appears on the screen once the teacher has pressed the 'S' key.

This is a ppt that picks student names at random for the end of a lesson. (once you add the names one to a page). I followed Michael Griffen's session instructions from the ATP2009 to make this. Not my idea, but it works. You can change the background or whatever to suit your style.
