AQA GenderSplit your group into different teams of between 2-10 people in each. The answer to each question starts with the initials shown eg: American City N.Y. = New York. Flash up each question and the first person to stand up from any of the teams gets to answer. If they get it right then they get a point for their team – if they get it wrong they lose a point and their team are frozen out of that question. Pass the question on to the next person to stand up. car sorting exercise with a difference. We actually varied it from the task guidance on the sheet shown. Students separated into in-school/out of school factors and glued onto sheets (yes - subcultures and boys/girls behaviour ended up in the middle as they have their feet in both camps!). students then draw linking arrows between cards and along the arrows an explanation of the link. This serendipity reinforces understanding of each individual factor. We then distributed a set of

I ask the students to place one colour set on the white board in the column that they think they were traditionally performed - Men/Women/Neutral. At the end of the lesson the students place the second set of cards on the board in the column they think they are performed today. It's a great way of recapping on the lesson about how the job roles have
